Benefits Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit are government schemes to help you pay your rent and/or Council Tax if you are on a low income. The scheme is administered by your local council.
Please note: The current economic climate has led to an unprecedented increase in demand which is affecting processing times. Currently most claims are being processed within 2-3 weeks of the Council receiving all the documents they need.
