Details of individual Planning applications and Building Regulation submissions back to 1987 can be viewed using this search.

If the application reference number is known enter this into the reference box and click on "search" (there is no need to enter any other information).

If the application reference number is not known use the left side bar to navigate to Application Search Pre 1987 and follow the instructions on that page.

Documents will appear on the site within 5 working days of the receipt of the valid planning application.

When viewing full details of an individual application there is a facility to enable comments to be submitted directly by clicking "comment on this application" in the centre of the chosen application page.

You can also make comments in writing by sending them to: The Planning Department, Arun Civic Centre, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex BN17 5LF.

Please Note: All comments made on planning applications must be made available for public inspection (which can include by electronic means) if they are to be taken into account prior to a decision being made on an application. The Planning Inspectorate have introduced an online appeals service. Should an application go to appeal the Inspectorate may publish your comments on the internet (via the appeals section of the Planning Portal). Your comments may include personal details such as your name, address, email or phone number. Please ensure that you only provide information, including personal information belonging to you that you are happy will be made available to others in this way. If you supply information belonging to a third party please ensure you have their permission to do so.
