Play Areas and Skate Parks The Parks and Greenspace team manage over 90 play areas in the district, including two BMX tracks, 7 basketball courts & 7 skate parks.
 The Parks service, in conjunction with our contractors, Foster Playscapes and ISS Waterers, look to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and management.When designing new play areas, the Landscape Department work in consultation with the local community and aim to create exciting and rewarding spaces for your children to play.
Safety
In order to ensure your child's safety, weekly inspections, by trained & CRB-checked personnel, are carried out on all equipment. In addition, full annual risk assessments are compiled by independent inspectors.
We aim to maintain our play areas to the highest possible standards, however, we face daily challenges from antisocial behaviour and vandalism. If you find a problem such as glass or vandalised equipment please contact us so we can deal with the situation promptly.
