New Play Opportunities for the Arun District Arun District Council has been awarded a grant of £256,294 from Big Lottery Fund for the provision of children's play. The grant will fund a portfolio of four individual projects between 2009 and 2012, which will create new opportunities for play across different sectors of the community: ![]() Parents and Carers Support Organisation (PACSO) is a Chichester based charity which provides play opportunities for children with disabilities and their siblings. Inspire Leisure will be running Oscar's Out and About Sessions on recreation grounds where there are limited recreational facilities and activities. The sessions will be run during school holidays in Bersted and Wick and include the free use of sports and play equipment. ![]() Two part-time play rangers have been appointed by Arun District Council who will work in public open spaces in Wick and Bersted. They will take along equipment and materials to encourage children to play and help develop confidence and self-esteem. For further inforamtion please see play rangers
