Affordable Warmth Group Qualification

To qualify for a heating grant, first of all someone in the houeshold meet the criteria of the Affordable Warmth Group. To find out more about how to apply for a grant, go to our grants page. Anyone living in privately owned or part-owned domestic property who is in receipt of one of the following benefits (or sets of benefits), would qualify for the Affordable Warmth Group:

1. Child Tax Credit and has a relevant income of £15,860 or less;

 

2. State Pension Credit (Savings or Guaranteed);

 

3. Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and—

a) receiving a work-related activity or support component; or

b) has parental responsibility for a qualifying child; or

c) is in receipt of a qualifying component;

 

4. Income-based Job Seeker‘s Allowance (JSA) and—

a) has parental responsibility for a qualifying child; or

b) is in receipt of a qualifying component;

 

5. Income Support and—

a) has parental responsibility for a qualifying child;

b) or is in receipt of a qualifying component;

 

6. Working Tax Credit and has a relevant income of £15,860 or less and—

a) has parental responsibility for a qualifying child; or

b) is in receipt of a disabled worker element or severe disability element; or

c) is aged 60 years or over.
