Selling to Arun - Concerns Over Purchasing Decision Malpractice

The Council will do everything possible to promote honesty and integrity in everything it does and is committed to the prevention, deterrence, detection and investigation of all forms of fraud and corruption.
All of us at one time or another have concerns about what is happening at work. Usually these concerns are easily resolved. However, when they are about unlawful conduct, financial malpractice or dangers to the public or the environment, it can be difficult to know what to do.
If you raise a genuine concern with the Council regarding a purchasing decision, we will ensure that any allegations, made in good faith, will be taken seriously and investigated in an appropriate manner. If you ask us to protect your identity by keeping your confidence, we will not disclose it without your consent.
The Council will deal firmly with those who act dishonestly. Following proper investigation, appropriate disciplinary action and/or criminal proceedings wll be instigated.
