Define alcohol
How does the Act define 'alcohol'?
Spirits, wine, beer, cider or other fermented, distilled or spirituous liquor are defined as alcohol. However, this does not include anything of 0.5% strength or below. Generally, foodstuffs containing alcohol are not licensable, unless they are particularly strong as with some alcoholic jellies.
