Due to language difficulties during the consultations at Bognor CAB, the Expanding Communities Project was asked to return to the CAB for their 1:1 sessions with community members who speak Russian, Lithuanian and Polish, to help them get support they need by removing the language barrier. The sessions with the bilingual community workers need to be arranged at the Bognor CAB in advance. Please state the language you speak and the problem you need to resolve.
Now ECP supports Arun District Council, including front line staff working at Littlehampton and Bognor Regis receptions.
ECP will be able to assist on the phone 01903 726229 from 9.00am till 12.00pm in these languages on particular working days:
Lithuanian/Russian Tuesdays & Thursdays Edita Karnil

We provide over the phone interpreting for local organisations, which deal with Eastern European clients who speak Lithuanian, Russian and Polish.
Furthermore, interpreting support may be booked by ADC staff for the Housing Options (particularly re rough sleepers), Housing Benefit and Environmental Health interviews with Russian, Lithuanian and Polish clients. Other interpreting appointments may be made in an emergency by negotiation with the team but will be dependent on the team’s workload at that time.
The ECP team is available to provide written translation for documents which ADC needs to produce in Russian, Lithuanian and Polish languages.
