Arun District Council's Forward Plan sets out key decisions to be taken by the Cabinet and Full Council over the coming months.  The Forward Plan also now includes details of the reports going to the Overview Select and Audit & Governance Committees; the Local Development Framework (LDF) and Regeneration Sub-Committees; and the Environmental Services & Community Development, Housing & Customer Services, and Leisure, Tourism & Infrastructure Working Groups.

A key decision, as defined in the Council's Constitution, is one which is likely to: 

a) result in the Council incurring expenditure, or making savings, which is significant having regard to the Council's budget for the services or functions concerned; and/or

b) be significant in terms of its affects on communities living or working in an area comprising two or more wards or electoral divsions in the Council's area.

In line with the Council's Constitution, key decisions can only be taken by the Cabinet or Full Council, not by Individual Cabinet Members.  Other reports for decision will appear on the Cabinet Agenda but these will not be key decisions and will not therefore be required to be included in the Forward Plan.

The Forward Plan will be updated and published every month.  It is also available for inspection during normal office hours free of charge at the Arun Civic Centre, Littlehampton and the Bognor Regis Town Hall.

The Forward Plan will also be used by the Council to involve, where considered necessary, the Scrutiny process to examine issues coming forward for decision before they reach the Cabinet/Council.
