The Emerging Local Plan
Welcome to the Arun District Council Emerging Local Plan web pages. At present, the South East Plan and the saved policies of the Local Plan form the Development Plan for the Arun District. It is expected that these policies will be replaced by the Emerging Local Plan (ELP).
Current status of the ELP
The Council aims to publish its emerging Local Plan for consultation in Summer 2012. Comments will then be reviewed and a new draft will be published and submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in order that an Examination in Public can be held if one is required.
LDF Sub Committee
This is a sub-committee involved in the work to update the Local Plan to create a Local Development Framework for the Arun District. The Sub-Committee reports into the Full Council.

A new Statement of Community Involvement is being prepared by the Council, setting out how residents can be a part of planning for the future of Arun whether through involvement in planning policy preparation or by commenting on planning applications.
