Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a timetable for the production of the emerging Local Plan.

It sets out which documents the council will produce, when the consultation stages will be and when the council will expect to adopt the documents.

Current status of LDS

On the 29th May 2013 a full council special meeting to authorise the Pre-Submission Local Plan for Public consultation, resulted in members requesting several changes including the reassessment of the supporting Strategic Housing Mareket Assessment (SHMA) data and reconsideration of strategic sites (please see this link for more information: Draft Local Plan update May 2013.

The timetable for the Local Plan 2011-2029 therefore has to be revised, meaning the existing LDS (below) that was approved at Full Council meeting on 11th January 2012 is out of date: Local Development Scheme [pdf] 109KB

A more recent LDS is in the committee papers from the 29th May (at this link here: Full Council) but this will be replaced once a new timetable has been agreed following agreement of the approach to the review of the SHMA data, which will be discussed at the local plan sub-committee on the 18th July (please click here for sub-committee agendas: Local Plan Sub-Committee (formerly Development Framework(LDF) Sub-Committee).
