LSP Delivery Partnerships
The LSP has several delivery partnerships dedicated to working in specific areas that contribute to the aims set out in the "Our Kind of Place", the Sustainable Community Strategy.

Safer Arun Partnership was formed in 1998 to tackle crime and disorder in Arun. It brings together Sussex Police, Probation Service, Fire and Rescue Service, Drug and Alcohol Team, Arun District Council (especially Community Safety Team), West Sussex County Council Community Safety and Health authorities to identify priority areas and actions. Arun Wellbeing and Health Partnership focuses on the health agenda, particularly for vulnerable or disadvantaged groups such as children, the elderly or disabled. The partnership brings together formal health and social care representatives and the many voluntary sector organisations that provide services for vulnerable people. Arun Youth Council enables young people in the area to take part in the democratic process locally and to have a voice. It also projects a positive image of the achievements of young people. For more information on the Youth Council, follow the link.
Arun Community Cohesion Group ensures the equalities and diversity agenda is delivered across Arun and takes proactive action to ensure this. Economic Development is delivered with a partnership approach via the following websites - Arun "Open for Business" and Arun Business Partnership. Visit these sites for details of activities and available support.
Littlehampton 2020 and Bognor Regis 21 are the delivery partnerships for the work being undertaken to tackle disadvantage and improve the quality of life in deprived areas using Local Area Agreement (LAA) Outcome 22 and Local Neighbourhood Improvement Area (LNIA) funding. Their role is to appraise and strengthen projects coming forward to meet the targets and monitor progress. The multi-agency partnerships were previously successful delivery partnerships for Single Regeneration Budget Round 6 funding and they have a wealth of experience and local knowledge in this field. More details of the Outcome 22 and LNIA targets and Action Plans and the Local Area Agreement can be found by following the link.
The Arun Strategic Housing Partnership is currently being formed to bring together all stakeholders in the sector. Arun has one of the fastest-growing housing lists in the country, indicating the level of need locally for new homes. Contact Caroline Gosford on 01903 737854 for more information.
There are three Joint Area Committees - East Arun, West Arun and Downlands - which focus on priorities in their specific geographical area. The membership comprises elected councillors at Parish, Town, District and County level and each Area Committee has identified local priorities and actions through the creation of an area-based Community Strategy. The Committees have a measure of decision-making power over such issues as highways, leisure and the environment. There is a small amount of funding made available via West Sussex County Council to address key issues.
