Tender or Select List advertisements are usually placed in one or more of the following:

• Bognor Regis Observer
• Littlehampton Gazette
• Evening Argus
• Portsmouth News
• West Sussex Gazette

If it is considered that wider publication of our requirement would be effective, advertisements will be placed in other publications such as trade journals specific to a service or product, or journals specifically advertising public sector contracts. (See Useful Procurement Related Links  for further details).

Arun District Council also uses the Contract Finder portal for lower value contracts (those below the EU Public Procurement thresholds of approximately £173,934 in total value). See  https://online.contractsfinder.businesslink.gov.uk/

If, because of its higher contract value, the tendering process must follow the European Union Public Procurement Directive procedures, an advertisement (called a 'Notice' in the Directives) is also placed in the OJEU, the 'Official Journal of the European Union' (formerly known as OJEC, the Official Journal of the European Communities'). This can be accessed at http://ted.europa.eu/.  Many of these EU Notices are also then picked up and published in trade or public sector tender journals.
