Arun District Council Local Land Charges gain national recognition
Arun District Council’s Local Land Charges service has been recognised in three categories at the 10th Land Data Local Land Charges Awards 2017.
The national awards celebrate the work and achievements of local authority local land charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales.
The Council was shortlisted in three categories: Best Customer Experience; Customer Satisfaction; Dan Carman was also shortlisted in the Local Land Charges Officer of the Year category.
The winners were revealed at an awards ceremony, hosted by television presenter Kaye Adams on Monday, 6 March, in Bristol.
Arun District Council was successful in all categories, coming first place for the Customer Satisfaction Award, highly commended for the Best Customer Experience Award, and Dan Carman, came second, highly commended, for the Local Land Charges Officer of the Year Award.
Councillor Ricky Bower, Cabinet Member for Planning and Infrastructure at Arun District Council, said: “To finish first and highly commended in such a prestigious national award ceremony is a great achievement and testament of the hard work and commitment shown by the Council’s Local Land Charges team in offering customers an excellent level of customer service.”
Dan Carman said “I was delighted to be shortlisted for Local Land Charges Officer of the year 2017. It was completely unexpected. To then receive the highly commended award was amazing. Our team also won the Customer Satisfaction Award and came highly commended in the Best Customer Experience Award, which is the second year in a row for Arun. I am privileged to be part of such a strong team who focus on providing excellent customer service.”
