Poll cards are on the way

Election information you need to know

With the UK Parliamentary General Election just a month or so away, Arun District Council have issued poll cards to registered voters.

When your poll card arrives, it is important to check your polling station.  Although we have been very lucky to secure the great majority of our usual polling stations at short notice, there have been a few changes.

It is important that you register to vote. If you have received a poll card, you do NOT need to register. Applications to register to vote in these elections must be received by Arun District Council’s Electoral Registration Officer, Nigel Lynn by 26 November.

The deadline to apply for a new postal vote or to change or cancel an existing postal vote is 5pm on 26 November. Requests for new proxy votes must be received by Arun District Council by 5pm on 4 December.

Details of how to register can be found on the Arun District Council Website https://www.arun.gov.uk/registration

The nominations period for those wishing to stand as a parliamentary candidate in the Bognor Regis and Littlehampton Constituency closes at 4pm on Thursday 14 November.  Any nomination papers must be delivered to the Acting Returning Officer at the Civic Centre in Maltravers Rd, Littlehampton.

You can find out more about these elections by visiting Arun District Council’s website at http://www.arun.gov.uk/uk-parliamentary-elections
