Green flags will fly over Arun again this summer as Arun District Council celebrates having some of the finest parks in the country.
The announcement marks 13 years of Green Flag recognition for
Mewsbrook Park, eight years for Hotham Park and seven years for Marine Park Gardens.
This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
Cllr Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services said, “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for these three parks.
“We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors alike, and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining Hotham Park, Marine Park Gardens, both in Bognor Regis and Mewsbrook Park in Littlehampton, to such a high standard.
“We can be proud of the creative achievements and hard work of all partners and volunteer groups that work to with us and of the strong relationship between the Council’s Greenspace service and our Greenspace Management Contractor ISS Facility Services Landscaping.
“As we celebrate this award we look forward to all that the year ahead has to offer, as we focus on our next award!
