Time for tea?

The Chairman of Arun District Council, Cllr Andy Cooper, was delighted to attend the opening of a new business in Angmering Village. Tea in the Square is the creation of new business owners Anne Marie Durrant and Helen Noakes who are set to provide visitors from near and far with tea and cake and more.

Set right in the heart of Angmering village the new tea shop provides a warm welcome and delightful environment in which to choose from an array of drinks, hot and cold, sandwiches, snacks and a large range of home baked treats.

Of course, afternoon tea is always popular and the Chairman was lucky enough to sample this offering when he visited Tea in the Square on its first trading day.

Cllr Cooper said “Welcoming new businesses to the area is always a pleasure and I am delighted to have been invited to open Tea in the Square. It’s a real asset to the village and I have no doubt that it will prove popular with residents and visitors to the area. I am looking forward to watching this business succeed, and to popping in for tea and cake too!”

Tea in the Square proprietors Anne Marie and Helen said “Opening Tea in the Square is a dream come true for us. So much planning and preparation has gone into making this dream a reality and we are truly committed to making it a success. We are really looking forward to welcoming our customers and getting to know new and friendly faces. Being at the heart of the village is something that is important to us and we hope that we will do the community proud.”
