Help is at hand for those struggling to heat their home or pay energy bills this winter.

Arun District Council’s Home Energy Visitors and Energy Efficiency Officer are working with charity National Energy Action to promote energy awareness at two events.

People are encouraged to bring their utility bills along and discuss any home heating concerns they may have.

The first event takes place from 10am to 3pm on Monday, 9 November, at Arun Civic Centre reception in Littlehampton.

There is a second one at Bognor Regis Town Hall reception from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday, 10 November.

There will be a stand where people can learn about energy efficiency focussing on energy company switching, insulation, the warm homes discount and bill checking.

Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “There is plenty of evidence that suggests having a warm home keeps you healthy during the cold winter months.

“If you know someone who you think would benefit from this advice but is unable to attend they may wish to contact Arun about our free home energy visits.”

If you are concerned about your energy bills and keeping your home warm this winter please contact our Home Energy Visitors for free help and support on 01903 737862.
