WSCC Elections final countdown

ballot box With the West Sussex County Council elections just a week away, 4 May 2017, are you ready to vote?

The deadline for registering has now passed, so if you registered on time you should all have your poll cards and have decided whether you will be voting at a polling station or whether to vote by post. Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm on Thursday 4 May and any postal votes must be received either at the Arun Civic Centre, Littlehampton or at a polling station by 10pm on that day so please ensure you send them in, or hand deliver them in plenty of time.

The count for the election will take place during the day on Friday 5 May and results will be updated to the Arun District Council website and also on the Arun District Council Twitter feed, @ArunDistrict.

Local Returning Officer, Arun District Council, Nigel Lynn said “We are delighted to have seen so many residents registering to vote in this election, Having a say in the way local communities and areas are run is so important and we hope to see that reflected on election day.”

If you are unsure of your polling station or the candidates that are standing for election you can find this information on the Arun District Council website http://www.arun.gov.uk/west-sussex-county-council-elections#polling

Remember that if you have registered to vote already, you do not need to re-register for the Parliamentary election called for 8 June 2017.   All those eligible to vote at this election will receive a poll card around 10 May 2017.  You can find out more about registering to vote or changing your voting arrangement at http://www.arun.gov.uk/registration
