Health Professionals, GPs and Agency Workers
If you are a health professional, GP or agency worker and you would like to refer a patient or client for a Lifeline telecare service please use our online form. Arun District Council will fund the Lifeline service for a period of 13 weeks. We hope that during this period the Arun Lifeline service will help your patients to live more safely in their own home and will give them and their family peace of mind at a time when they are feeling a little more vulnerable. The service will form part of a wider package aimed at reducing the number of individuals that need to be referred to hospital and to help those leaving hospital and returning home.
At the end of this period, patients will be given the opportunity to subscribe to the Arun Lifeline service themselves if they feel that the service has been worthwhile.
Arun Lifeline works in partnership with Sussex Police to provide a telecare service for individuals who have for example been victims of domestic violence, harassment, distraction burglary, bogus callers and other crimes. If you are a police officer or support staff and would like to refer an individual for this service, please use the online form for police referrals.
The service will be funded through Sussex Police for a period of 13 weeks. During this period it is hoped that the Arun Lifeline service will help to restore confidence and provide reassurance for victims of crime.
At the end of this period, the individual will be given the opportunity to subscribe to the service themselves if they feel that there is a continuing need. In certain circumstances the period of free installation may be extended through Sussex Police and an individual can contact the referring officer to discuss this further.
