Moles

It is not very often you will see a mole as they spend almost their entire life under the ground. Mole hills are very common and easily recognisable. Moles rely solely on their senses of touch and smell, as they are almost blind. They have hands like spades, with very strong fingers and claws. It is these ‘hands’ which enable them to dig tunnels through the earth, creating the mole hills that give away their presence. Hills will be the main sign that you have moles on your property. The soil can damage cutting machinery, and constant digging can cause subsidence, which can be a particular problem in fields and recreation grounds. We do not advise handling any mole you find on the surface.

About the treatment

Our Pest Control Officer will survey your property, and lay traps down the holes that the moles have created. During this first visit, a date for a follow up visit will be agreed with you. All moles caught will be removed by our Officer, and this service will continue until the treatment is complete. For more information about the appointment, please see the about the service page.

The fee will be payable at the time of booking, so please have your card details ready. We will not usually be able to refund the payment once treatment is underway. If the moles return within four weeks of your last visit we will call back free of charge.
