Arun District Council refurbs public conveniences

 

New Toilets As part of a programme to improve toilet facilities in the district, Arun District Council begins a programme of refurbishment works at four of the districts' public conveniences.

The Council has entered into a contract with Green Manor Building Limited to undertake the work at Culver Road, Felpham, Hotham Park, Bognor Regis, Norfolk Gardens, Littlehampton, St Martin's Car Park, Littlehampton.

The refurbishments include some internal and external reconfiguration, replacement of plumbing and electrical services, replacement sanitary ware and redecoration throughout.

There are two phases of improvements planned. Phase 1 at Culver Road and St Martin's Car Park will run from Monday, 3 September to late October 2018, and phase 2 at Hotham Park and Norfolk Gardens will run from Monday, 29 October, due to be completed before Christmas.

Cllr Stephen Haymes, Cabinet Member for technical services said “The Council is keen to provide quality facilities for the public and although we are aware the work will cause disturbance, the result will be modern, fresh, and safe toilets for residents and visitors alike and we would ask for patience while the work is taking place.”
