Council set to receive funding to transform public space in Bognor Regis

Council set to receive funding to transform public space in Bognor Regis Arun District Council has been provisionally awarded a £1.2 million grant to renovate Place St Maur in Bognor Regis after a successful funding bid.

The Coast to Capital grant, which has been agreed in principle, is set to fund a project to create a stronger connection between the seafront and town centre and completely revive this area, transforming it into an attractive and welcoming space.

Councillor Matt Stanley, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Technical Services said: “This is fantastic news and we are all looking forward to seeing the plans to rejuvenate this part of town progress. Although it’s early days and the funding has not yet been signed off, we wanted to share the news with residents immediately – we will have more details soon so watch this space!”

The funding offer is provisional at this stage and will be subject to final checks.
