Green Flags fly proudly over three Arun parks

green flag Ceremonies have been held to raise the prestigious Green Flag at Mewsbrook Park in Littlehampton, and at Bognor Regis’s Hotham Park and Marine Park Gardens.

Community groups came together as Arun District Council’s Chairman, Councillor Jacky Pendleton, helped to hoist the flags in the three parks following this year’s successful judging.

Cllr. Pendleton said: “Parks and greenspaces are critical for our community’s health and wellbeing, and the Council is proud to be able to say that we in Arun can still achieve these high standards through excellent working relationships throughout the community, and offer this high quality service for our residents and visitors.”

She went on to thank all those involved in achieving the now internationally recognised award for the best parks in the country.

The annual awards, presented by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, acknowledge high standards of park facilities, including maintenance and community engagement.
