Arun District Council and officers have visited the site of new council houses in Wick which are due to be completed later this year, providing homes for those in the district in need of housing.
These homes are part of a development contract between Arun District Council and Brymor Construction to build two houses at Glen Logie Bognor Regis (completed in 2017), 22 houses and flats at Wick, Littlehampton and to provide a series of new parking bays in the surrounding area.
The properties at Wick are made up of five separate development sections on council owned land, providing 18, two bedroom houses and four, one bedroom flats. Four of these sections have now been completed and have been let to households on the Council’s housing register. One section is still under construction and is due to be completed in September 2018. This will provide eight more two bedroom houses.
Cabinet member for residential services, Cllr Trevor Bence said “I am delighted to be adding these high quality homes to the Council’s housing portfolio which will provide much needed affordable housing to meet the growing need.”
