Your Local Plan 2011- 2031 – Main Modifications

Local Plan examination Hearings to take place

house Arun District Council is seeking public views in next phase of the Local Plan process.

As part of the ongoing examination into the Local Plan, the Council has prepared further Main Modifications to the Plan in liaison with the Planning Inspector conducting the examination. These include those modifications prepared to resolve concerns raised by the Planning Inspector. This consultation follows on from the hearings that were held in September 2017.

The District Council is now asking for views on these further specific Main Modifications to the Arun Local Plan during a six week consultation period which runs from 12 January 2018 until 5pm on Friday 23 February 2018. Only those representations made within this time frame and focusing on the main modifications will be considered by the Planning Inspector as part of the Examination in Public.

Supporting documentation for the consultation as well as the form for making comments can be found at www.arun.gov.uk/current-consultations.

Representations can be submitted using the council’s online consultation system at http://arun.objective.co.uk/portal; by email using the representation template to: localplan@arun.gov.uk or by post to: Planning Policy and Conservation Arun District Council, Arun Civic Centre, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, BN17 5LF.

After the consultation closes, all of the representations received along with all other supporting documentation produced by the Council, will be passed to the Planning Inspector, Mr. Dakeyne, in order for him to prepare his final Report which he will submit to the Council in April, 2018.

The public are asked not to repeat any representations made at an earlier stage of consultation as the Inspector will already have copies of them.
