NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2023
On 6 September 2023 Arun District Council confirmed the above Order under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert an existing Footpath No. 3096, which is shown by a continuous black line between Points R, K, J, I, H, G, F, E and Non land known as Hampton Park, Toddington Lane, Littlehampton.

The new route of the footpath commences at Point L on the Order Map running in a north easterly direction for approximately 485 metres to Point Q then north for approximately 75 metres to Point P and further north for approximately 100 metres to Point O and east for approximately 35 metres to Point N, as shown by a broken black line on the Order Map.

The alternative footpath route shall have a width of 2 metres along its whole length Point L to Point N.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge on the website of Arun District Council at https://www.arun.gov.uk/wscc-rights-of-way-notices and Littlehampton Town Council at https://www.littlehampton-tc.gov.uk/hamptonpark. Copies may be purchased from the Interim Legal Services Manager, Legal Services at Arun District Council at the price of £5.00.

The Order comes into force on the date upon which Arun District Council certifies that the terms of Articles 3 and 4 of the Order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
