There are some key things that the public need to do to make sure they can vote.

Check your poll card information as it will tell you where your polling station is and where you can vote in person on the day, from 7am until 10pm. Please check your polling station information in case it has changed. Please note that poll cards are now delivered in envelopes.

If you vote by post and hand deliver your postal vote either to a polling station, or the Civic Centre in Littlehampton, you must now complete a form with a member of staff, or your postal vote will be rejected and your vote will not count. This does not apply to postal votes returned to us via Royal Mail. Please do not put your completed postal vote in either of the letterboxes at the Civic Centre or Bognor Regis Town Hall.

You need to have photo ID with you when you vote in person. You can find out about that here: Voter photo ID | Arun District Council , if you vote by proxy (somebody voting on your behalf), your proxy will need their photo ID too.

If you don’t have an accepted for of photo ID, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate at www.voter-authority-certificate.service.gov.uk

The electoral area for Sussex includes all 13 local authorities in East and West Sussex, including Brighton and Hove.
