Wander to Wick for some family fun

There will be plenty of fun to be had at the Arun Wellbeing Family Activity Day.

The aim of the free event is to encourage families to be more active through taking part in a treasure hunt and sports day.

During the treasure hunt participants will use maps to uncover hidden prizes whilst the mini sports day will see families take part in a range of traditional sporting events. There is the chance to win water bottles, medals and lunchboxes.

Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “Often families struggle to find the time to exercise together so fun events like this really help encourage everyone to have fun whilst doing healthy activities.

“Anyone can take part in this fun event and I hope as many people as possible enjoy some quality time outdoors.

“As this is a family event parents must accompany their children for the duration of the day.”

The session, which is part of Wick Week, takes place between 10am and 2pm on Tuesday, July 26, at the Wickbourne Children and Family Centre in Clun Road, Littlehampton, as well as Water Lane Recreation Ground opposite.

The treasure hunt runs from 10am to 11.30am and the mini sports day takes place from 12pm to 2pm.
