Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging area in Arun
The charging area covers all of Arun District with the exception of the areas of the South Downs National Park located to the north of the district. This is due to the fact that the National Park Authority is a local planning authority in its own right. Strategic sites within Zone 1 are zero rated and therefore do not pay CIL.

Examination
Our draft CIL Charging Schedule was submitted for independent examination on 31 July 2019.
The examiner's report, dated 2 December 2019, did not recommend any substantive changes to the draft Charging Schedule.
