Arun Conservation Area Advisory Committee

The Arun Conservation Area Advisory Committee provides us with advice on conservation matters.

The Advisory Committee is made up of people from different professional backgrounds. These include architects, town planners and parish and district councillors.

You can read the committee's constitution [pdf] 72KB to find out more information on who is involved and how it works.

Its main role is to comment on planning or other applications in our conservation areas. They also comment and advise on the creation or review of conservation areas within Arun.

Design Awards

To promote and recognise good design with our district, the Advisory Committee present awards for outstanding design.

Usually held every three years, the awards are a chance to celebrate building works or projects in our area. By recognising excellence in the local area, the Advisory Committee hope future works will aim to achieve the highest standards in design.
