Alexandra Theatre redevelopment progresses with roof works
The Alexandra Theatre redevelopment in Bognor Regis continues with construction and structural works progressing on schedule.
Led by Neilcott Construction Ltd, and monitored through regular site inspections, the project remains on track and safely managed throughout.
Recent progress highlights:
- completed the shutter and reinforcement works to the lower roof slab
- carried out the concrete pour to the lower roof slab, with the required curing period now complete
- removed a portion of the temporary propping following successful curing
- progressed works to the North-East internal stair structure
- continued internal builders' works within the existing theatre
Looking ahead:
Looking ahead, work will now focus on the next stage of the roof structure. Shuttering and reinforcement to the upper roof slab will begin shortly, with the concrete pour currently anticipated to take place during the week commencing 24 October. Internal builders' works will continue throughout the theatre, while external areas will be prepared in readiness for follow-on trades to move on site.
The project team remains focused on safe delivery, with construction activity progressing in line with programme.
