Arun District Council Budget Consultation 2027/2028
Arun District Council is inviting residents, businesses and community organisations to have their say on priorities for the council's 2027/28 budget.
As the we begin to plan for the next financial year, we are seeking your views on how resources should be allocated to support local services and deliver the council's priorities for the district.
Our role is to make Arun a better place to live, work and visit while delivering a wide range of public services.
With increasing demand for services and continued pressure on public finances, it is essential that the council makes informed decisions about how public money is allocated. The annual budget plays a central role in ensuring resources are used effectively, delivering value for money and helping to support local priorities across Arun.

As we develop our budget for the coming year, we are committed to ensuring that every pound is used wisely to support our priorities and provide the best possible outcomes for communities across Arun.
“Like councils across the country, we continue to operate in a challenging financial environment. Despite these pressures, we remain focused on using our resources responsibly and making decisions that reflect the needs of the people we serve.
“Setting the annual budget is one of the most significant responsibilities of the council. It requires us to balance growing demand for services with the need to deliver value for money while continuing to invest in the future of the district.
“The views of our residents, businesses and community organisations are an important part of this process. By taking part in the consultation, people can help us understand what matters most to them and ensure our spending plans reflect local priorities.
“I encourage everyone to participate in the consultation and provide feedback to help ensure our budget reflects the priorities of our communities."
