Arun District Council seeks residents’ views on Larksfield Recreation Ground habitat proposal
Arun District Council is inviting local residents to share their views on proposals to enhance a small area of Larksfield Recreation Ground, Pulborough Way, Bognor Regis PO22 6QR, through the creation of a new Habitat Bank.
The proposal would see a lowland meadow established within a small section of the recreation ground, creating valuable habitat for wildlife and increasing biodiversity in the area. The project aims to support nature recovery while ensuring the wider recreation ground remains open, accessible and available for residents to enjoy.
As part of the consultation, the council is keen to understand how local people currently use this area and gather feedback on the proposed changes.
This consultation will run from 20 July to 17 August 2026, providing residents and stakeholders with the opportunity to comment on the plans.

The proposed lowland meadow at Larksfield Recreation Ground would create important habitat for wildlife and contribute to a richer natural environment. We would like to see as many people as possible take part in the survey."
