Did you know? Love Parks week starts today
Love Parks Week celebrates the incredible role parks and green spaces play in supporting our health, wellbeing, communities and local wildlife.
This year's campaign runs from 24 July to 2 August, encouraging everyone to get outside and enjoy all the green spaces on their doorstep.
Here in Arun, we're lucky to have a fantastic range of award-winning parks and greenspaces to explore. From the historic beauty of Hotham Park in Bognor Regis to the wildlife-rich habitats of Brookfield Park, the family-friendly open spaces at Mewsbrook Park, and the colourful seafront gardens at Norfolk Gardens and Marine Park Gardens, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Our parks aren't just great places to relax and play - they help support biodiversity, improve wellbeing, provide habitats for wildlife and bring our communities together.
Our parks are award winning!
Arun District Council's commitment to providing and maintaining high-quality green spaces has been recognised with a record 11 Green Flag Awards for parks, gardens and green spaces across Arun in 2026, a result the council is delighted to celebrate. So that our parks can continue to be enjoyed by everyone please respect them, by remembering a few simple precautions:
- equipment is there for everyone, so respecting it gives it a long life
- help to keep our parks clean by putting litter and dog poo in a bin, or if our litter bins are full, take it home with you
- be mindful of other visitors and those working in the park
- only use BBQ's if allowed and don't light fires
- please don't disturb wildlife
This Love Parks Week, why not visit your favourite Arun park, or discover somewhere new!
