Did you know? My Sisters' House offers dedicated support to local women
My Sisters' House Women's Centre helps around 2,000 women, young women and girls across the Arun district each year.
The organisation supports those experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, exploitation, poor mental health, homelessness, poverty and other challenging circumstances, helping them regain confidence and move forward with greater safety, self-belief and hope.
A lifeline for women in need
The centre provides specialist support, including early help, crisis assistance and ongoing guidance to help women recover and rebuild their lives.
Support services like My Sisters' House remain vital, with many women continuing to experience domestic abuse and controlling behaviour in their relationships.
On average, eight women are killed every month in England and Wales by a current or former partner. Women should not have to live each day in fear, shame, isolation or silence, yet sadly many do.
Domestic abuse affects every community and every walk of life. In fact, most of us will know someone who has experienced abuse, but we are often unaware of it because disclosure still carries stigma, judgement and fear. That's why local support matters.
Racing towards a brighter future for local women and girls
My Sisters House is delighted to have been chosen as the official charity partner of the Bognor Prom Running Festival, taking place on Sunday, 16 May 2027. The event brings together around 2,000 runners from across the community. It will provide an opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds to support local women and girls.
Early bird registration opens on 27 November 2026 - go to their website for updates, see link below.
Helping women feel safe, supported and believed
Everyone has a role to play in helping to end violence against women and girls. By raising awareness, supporting those affected and challenging abuse in all its forms, we can help create safer communities where every woman who seeks help can find safety, support and someone who believes in her.
