Extra parking coming to Littlehampton Wave

Essential Repairs to Car Park

Car park More parking spaces will soon be available at Littlehampton Wave, with work to extend the southern car park due to start on Monday 2 September 2019.

The improvement work is due to take around a week to complete. During this time the southern car park will be out of action, but the northern car park will remain in use.

Anyone with a Freedom Leisure badge will be able to park on Sea Road without needing to buy a ticket.

The coach bays in the car park at the new centre will also be reconfigured early in October to include extra spaces, and there will be some disruption for a few days while the work is completed.

The project to extend the car park is being phased to minimise disruption at the Wave and timed to fall outside the peak tourist season.

The Council will keep the public informed of any changes to the proposed dates.

Councillor Dan Purchese, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services, said: “The Littlehampton Wave has proved to be extremely popular since it opened in March, so we want to increase the amount of parking on offer to customers.

“The work has been timed to cause minimum disruption, so we’d like to ask everyone to please bear with us while these improvements are made.”
