Flood warning – Climping

Flooding is expected for two hours either side of Friday's early morning tide at 03:00 on 9 January, 2026. 

The Environment Agency are closely monitoring the situation and routinely check the condition of the beach at Climping. 
 
If you are due to be affected, activate any flood protection products you may have. Access could be restricted. Take care if visiting Climping beach. 

In addition to this warning, there is also a flood alert in place for: Rope Walk, Ferry and Bridge Road on the west banks of the lower tidal River Arun at Littlehampton as flooding is possible in those areas.
