Arun District Council has secured a new operator for the Harbour Lights Café in Littlehampton (previously Look & Sea Centre).
The recent marketing of the premises resulted in a number of offers and the Council are delighted to confirm the appointment of a preferred operator.
The operator has a proven track record of existing successful catering establishments within Arun, based in Felpham (Lobster Pot) and Bognor Regis (Hotham Park Café and London Road Café).
To ensure that the residents of Arun and visitors alike are able to enjoy this prime amenity during the summer 2019 season, work is already well underway to enable the operator open a coffee shop in the coming weeks.
The café will be open from 8am until 6pm all year round (364 days!) with extended opening hours in the summer, welcoming visitors until 8pm.
Once the main summer season is over the operation will close for a short period in order that further refurbishment can take place ahead of opening the new café. The team at the Harbour Lights Café will then be offering an extensive menu, using high-quality produce, locally sourced where possible.
Plans for the exciting new facility will be available for customers to view within the coffee shop and public access to the look-out tower will be permitted restoring this wonderful attraction for all to enjoy.
The new operator will also be looking for a team of dedicated staff to support him at the Harbour Lights Café. If you are interested in joining a hard-working and enthusiastic team you can find more details via the website www.harbourlightscafe.co.uk
Applications for all positions are welcome.
