Littlehampton seafront - first phase of sewer connection completed

This image shows the seafront development in Littlehampton. The image also includes various photographs showcasing construction progress, landscaping, and new structures along the seafront. The Littlehampton seafront scheme has completed the first phase of the new sewer connection and the traffic signals have been removed from South Terrace.

The discovery of a brick obstruction below ground means an alternative design is needed to finish off the connection, but this will not impact the junction of South Terrace/Banjo Road. Although there is more work needed for the sewer connection, this will not disrupt traffic.

The site now has power to enable electrical fittings to be installed in the buildings, lighting to be connected and work to begin on the final stage of the water play area. Inside, the contractor will be plastering, decorating and adding doors, followed up by installing seating and bins around the site. Banjo Road will also be resurfaced.

A non-material amendment application is being submitted to the planning service to formalise changes made to the scheme during value engineering and construction.
