Littlehampton Seafront Project update – 23 May 2025
The contractors are just finishing off a few details on site and will remove the barriers to complete work to the overflow car park. It can then be reopened in time for the half term school holiday. This means the whole car park will be available to use.
On other parts of the site the cladding material is being attached to the outside of the foreshore building and some scaffolding has been removed.
The protective coating to the exterior walls of the toilet block is nearly complete and tiling, plumbing and electrical work is progressing inside. The colourful doors will soon be delivered.
Surfacing has been laid in front of the concession kiosks and tree and shrub planting is continuing across the site.
The base layer of the footpaths is being completed with the finished surface to be added at the end of the project.
The safety surfacing around the water play area is expected to arrive in the next two weeks and work to make the drainage connection in South Terrace is planned to start in early June.
