Planning for the future: consultation launches on Off-Street Parking Strategy
Today, we're launching a consultation inviting residents, businesses, visitors and other stakeholders to review our draft Off-Street Parking Strategy 2027-2030 and complete the survey.
We want to hear your views, which will help inform the proposals and priorities set out in the final strategy.
The consultation along with the draft strategy is available on the council's website .
Chair of the Economy Committee, Councillor Roger Nash said:
"The way we manage our off-street parking facilities is important for residents, businesses and visitors alike. This draft strategy sets out our vision for the future of council-owned car parks and how they can continue to support our communities, local economy and changing travel needs.
We are keen to hear from as many people as possible during this consultation. Whether you use our car parks regularly or only occasionally, your views will help shape the priorities and proposals within the final Off-Street Parking Strategy 2027-2030. I would encourage everyone with an interest to take a look at the draft strategy and share their feedback."
The consultation will remain open until Monday 12 October 2026.
