Planning process consultation - The Regulation 18 Direction of Travel Document (Issues and Options)

Image has blue background with the ADC logo and states 'Consultation on The Regulation 18 Direction of Travel Document (Issues and Options) Monday 25 March 2024 until 5pm on Monday 6 May 2024 Arun District Council is launching a public consultation about the preparation of the Local Plan.

We are consulting on The Regulation 18 Direction of Travel Document (Issues and Options) from 25 March until 5pm on 13 May 2024.

Regulation 18 notification is the earliest stage of plan making. Arun has future needs arising from a growing population, which must be planned for sustainably, in the face of climate change. This means that the Local Plan may affect you either directly or indirectly now or in the future. Therefore, the council would like to hear what you think on these matters (see topics and questions in the Direction of Travel document) to help in shaping the updated Local Plan before it progresses through its later statutory stages.

The Direction of Travel Document and other supporting documents can be viewed throughout the consultation period at Arun Civic Centre in Littlehampton and Bognor Regis Town Hall and is also available at the libraries in the Arun district and on the council’s website Arun Local Plan Update 2023-2041 | Arun District Council

We encourage the public to respond using the council’s consultation portal as the most efficient and accurate way to capture your representation:

https://arun-consult.objective.co.uk/kse/

If this is not possible, we will also accept written responses by post to: Planning Policy and Conservation, Arun District Council, Arun Civic Centre, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, BN17 5LF, or by email to localplan@arun.gov.uk

Only representations received using one of the methods above by the stated deadline of 5pm on 13 May 2024 can be accepted. Anonymous comments will not be accepted – all comments received will be included on our website (including your name but not your address or email details).
