SWEP activated - 16 January 2023
SWEP is being triggered in Arun from Monday 16 January 7pm until Friday 20 January 2023 8am, due to the Met Office's predicted drop in temperatures during these dates. All rough sleepers in Arun can access a SWEP bed should they wish to do so.
To access SWEP, rough sleepers need to contact Arun’s Housing Options Team either by telephone on 01903 737552 or by attending the offices at either Bognor Town Hall or The Civic Centre Littlehampton during office open hours for an assessment of needs and instant referral into SWEP. Clients will then be given details of where and how to access that night.
If you are concerned about someone who is rough sleeping, please use the Streetlink app or this link https://www.streetlink.org.uk/# to report your concerns which will be sent directly to our Outreach services.
Clients who access this service will be provided with a hot meal, drinks, snacks and access to showers/washing facilities as well as support with seeking longer term accommodation options.
