What would you like to see at our play areas?

have your say Arun District Council is asking the public to help shape the refurbishment of four play areas across the district.

Improvement work is planned for Larksfield recreation ground in Middleton-on-Sea, Linden play area in Littlehampton, Longbrook in Felpham and Sproule Close in Ford.

Users of these play areas are being invited to have their say on the improvements by helping us to select play equipment and choose themes for each area being upgraded.

Councillor Dr James Walsh, Leader of Arun District Council, said: “We are keen to hear the views of parents and carers who regularly take their children to these play areas as they know what type of improvements will get the thumbs-up!

“Your input will ensure that our play areas suit the needs of those who use them the most and will help to maintain their popularity.”

An online survey for each play area can be completed up until 28 June 2019. Please find the links below:

Following the public consultation, the council will seek designs from play companies for the improvement work.

The work will be carried out at these sites in line with the Council’s Play Strategy 2018 – 2028, which seeks to ensure that children who both reside in and visit our district have fair and equal access to good-quality play opportunities.
