Windmill Entertainment Centre update 15 December 2023
We are pleased to report that work is progressing well on the Windmill Entertainment Centre, as we push towards its re-opening.
Our latest work update follows:
- Heating has been on and running for the last week.
- New suspended ceilings have been completed.
- Electrical work is on track to be completed this week.
- Painting is expected to be completed by this side of Christmas.
- New sky light due to be fitted on 18 December.
- Work to deal with additional external weathering of the boiler room is ongoing and will not delay completion of our fire damage rectification work.
We continue to work closely with our partners and can update that Freedom Leisure has started to instruct their contractors to complete their required repair work. This includes removal of the current studio flooring, installing a new floor, replacing damaged equipment and organising an updated fire risk assessment.
Progress is on schedule, and we remain confident of a spring re-opening.
