Yapton business honoured by The Queen

A Yapton-based business who have provided an innovative solution to cleaning gas in the BioGas industry have won The Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade section. 

PpTek Ltd became successful by developing IP/Patents which has led the company to become the market leader working on contracts in countries including Chile, New Zealand, Thailand, Argentia,  the USA and Czech Republic.

The company employs 10 people who work in design, development, manufacturing and sales of  highly efficient innovative BioGas purification systems.

Bill Cowing, sales director at PpTek Ltd, said: “The PpTek team is very proud that we have been awarded The Queen’s Award for International Trade 2015. This recognises the huge effort from all the employees at PpTek over the last four years, in designing special products and execute both sales and support services for international customers all over the world.

“We would like to thank all our domestic and international customers for their faith in the technology and products as well as our suppliers 85% of which are local to our West Sussex base, in helping support our work, and being so responsive to the demands that we placed upon them during PpTek's short life before becoming part of Parker. We all look forward to the next phase of our growth with a determination to even outperform the last four years."

Denise Vine, Head of Economic Regeneration at Arun District Council, added: “I am delighted to hear a business in the Arun District has been given this prestigious award.

“This demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit in Arun and I hope PpTek’s success inspires other businesses in the Arun District to reach similar heights.”

The Council provides a range of support to businesses that are starting up, relocating, expanding or recruiting and are always happy to try to help local companies with issues. The Local Authority also supports the Arun Business Partnership, which was set up some 20 years ago to encourage local companies to work together and has generated many millions of local business.
