West Sussex County Council Elections
West Sussex County Council is currently made up of 70 members elected to represent their local communities. You can learn more on the West Sussex County Council homepage. In order to vote in elections, you need to be registered. The next West Sussex County Council elections will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021 and will be combined with the Police and Crime Commissioner election for Sussex, information on these elections will be available from early 2021.
West Sussex County Council Election 2021
The elections will take place for all 70 seats across West Sussex. The seven District & Borough Councils in the County will admisister elections for the electoral divisions within their area with Tony Kershaw, the County Returning Officer coordinating arrangements across West Sussex.
Within the Arun District, were are 13 electoral divisions:
- Angmering & Findon
- Arundel & Courtwick
- Bersted
- Bognor Regis East
- Bognor Regis West & Aldwick
- East Preston & Ferring
- Felpham
- Fontwell
- Littlehampton East
- Littlehampton Town
- Middleton
- Nyetimber
- Rustington
There is one county councillor seat to represent each of these electoral divisions.

In order to vote you need to be registered
If you are already registered, you don’t need to re-register. You will receive a poll card confirming the details of your voting arrangements between from the end of March 2021.
If you are not yet registered to vote or wish to apply to vote by post or proxy [when someone votes on your behalf], the deadlines for this election are:
