Community Land Trusts (CLTs)

Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are set up and run by ordinary people to develop and manage homes as well as other assets. The CLT’s goal is to provide affordable homes for people connected with their area.

There are currently 5 local CLTs active in our district. Each CLT has its own criteria, so you’ll need to view your local one to find out if you could be eligible for a home:

We also recommend that you apply to join our housing register, if eligible, to ensure that we are aware of your circumstances and to make sure you are given the correct priority.

Shared ownership

You’ll need to register with the government’s South of England Help to Buy Agent.

Priority bands

Homes are allocated using priority bands set and agreed by each CLT board. Details of their allocation policy can be obtained by contacting the local CLT for the area you are applying for.
