Dogs in public places - time to have your say
We are reviewing the rules for dogs in public places and wants to hear from residents.
A public consultation has been launched today 15 July to seek your views on plans to amend and continue the current Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) for dogs in public places. The consultation will close on 29 July.
We are proposing that the current Arun District Council PSPOs for Dog Controls, which expire on 5 November 2026, are extended for a further three years until 2029.
The proposed changes are designed to refine the existing orders and are based upon feedback from the public and our first-hand experience in managing land and enforcement issues in relation to dog controls.
Details of the current PSPO can be found here; https://www.arun.gov.uk/dogs/
